Minden-Tahoe Airport

Flying Start Aero - Minden is located at 1151 Airport Road, Suite 1 in the heart of the Minden-Tahoe Airport. Take Airport Road East off Highway 395, just 4 miles north of Minden, Nevada. Follow Airport Road until it dead-ends in the Airport Public Parking Lot. Look West and you will see a two-story building. It is the Hutt Aviation building and the only two-story building within the inner-airport complex. This building is home of Flying Start Aero, located upstasirs, Suite 1, Southeast corner. Our facilities offer the best view of operations at the airport, unless you view the airport from one of our airplanes.

Flight training at the Minden-Tahoe Airport (MEV) has many advantages. MEV is a world-class soaring airfield. Aviators from all over the world come here to experience our unique conditions and to receive high altitude/mountain flying training. Mother Nature has blessed us with the Sierra Nevada mountains to the west and the desert to the east. World renowned Yosemite is just to the south of us and the incomparable Lake Tahoe is just a couple miles over the ridgeline. This unique setting provides something experienced pilots all over the planet are interested in. The beauty of our location is just icing on the cake.
